I've owned the Panasonic ES8249K Shaver for about 4 months now. I still have my older Panasonic shaver ES8066, (Linear wet/dry) that I purchased some 8 years ago. I do like the newer model ES8249K, it works very good, though I like the feel of the older model due to it's more solid feel,(heavier in weight, 255 grams compared to 184 grams for the new model, more metal parts, just feels more durable). I've never had a problem with the older model and amazingly, the rechargeable batteries are still doing good for the amount of years I've used the shaver, and I have never changed the cutting blades and they are still decent.
The new Panasonic ES8249K runs very smooth, very minimal vibration compared to my older one, though my older shaver is 8 years old. The ES8249K is lighter in weight, so I'm not sure after years of use, it will be as durable as the older model, and I personally don't like the plastic feel of the head, I think you have to be more careful with the shaver, it feels like the top piece could crack if handled to rough. After I use the razor for several years, I can then evaluate the product for durability. All and all, the ES8249K shaver works very good. I hope it will give me 2/3rd's the life of the older model.
